After three decades of speaking professionally, myself, I’ve dealt with lots of video producers. Never once has a single one impressed me so positively as Ed Primeau and his crew have.
From our very first email exchange and introductory phone call, Ed exuded a “bedside manner” that induced a feeling of total trust. Because of his deft handling of production matters, including the calming a potentially frazzled meeting planner, he allowed me to focus on my stage performance.
I didn’t have any concern about staging details, the danger of audio glitches, lighting and wardrobe issues, or audience disruptions. I knew Ed was on top of it all.
We had some sticky situations to deal with. The client had a different production crew backstage, and I noticed that Ed and his team immediately established rapport and bonded with them so they related to each other as fellow pros. They did each other some favors and complemented each other instead of competing for resources.
When the meeting planner had some concerns about the staging that could have diminished the value of the footage for my use, I knew I could simply step aside and trust Ed to work it out without fearing that he’d piss anybody off.
Aside from his professional expertise, I’ve been extraordinarily impressed with his character, integrity, and just plain likability. I had the honor of producing 6 videos for Bob Seger over the last 18 years here in Detroit at the Palace of Auburn Hills and Pine Knob/DTE. We produced the videos from a "family perspective" and documented all backstage activity and guests.
